Not only was she not baptized, but according to Brad, she was not old enough to say ( and mean) the magic words (therefore she can not be born again), so she is going to hell according to Brad’s theology.

This is terrible everyone examining and arguing about other people's beliefs.

When they should be out finding Jesus for themselves. Doing their very own text exegesis, charitable works, etc.

You can sit on the sidelines watching the game or you can be a player.

Is this your first time in RGT?

If this forum is not for discussion and debate, what is it for?

I think I hear some of the more informed atheists laughing at this statement.

I leave them to correct you.

And btw your incessant taking of things out of context only results in a poisoned well but my guess is that's what most of the atheists on here intended anyways. They can't handle the investigation its much easier to insult someone. Reminds me of Terminator 2 where John Connor looks at 2 little boys fighting over their toy guns and turns to the terminator and says "We don't have any hope do we" or something like that...The terminator (Schwarzenegger) says "Its in your nature to destroy yourselves".

The real pity is all your insults don't even have entertainment value. Its like someone telling puny senseless jokes to himself.

Guess what: God gets the last laugh. He always does.

It's not even her own imagination. Imagination implies a certain amount of creativity.

Splendour only imagines what her holy book tells her that she should be imagining.

Are you sure it's not God speaking to you directly?

No its text exegesis. Read the Psalms. It says so. God sits on his throne and laughs at the rebels.

Because the rebellion is an exercise in futility.

Here is your answer. All of you to think Caylee is going to hell should perhaps read the bible or do not give false answers.

God is just. Therefore, how can he condemn someone who has no knowledge of right or wrong (infant/small child) or who has not even been born yet (fetus)? God is Just because he "wants" to exercise mercy.

Jesus said: "Whoever believes in him [God's son] is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." (John 3:18).

However, since Christ paid for the sins of the world, and salvation is by faith, a child under the age of accountability is not under condemnation until they are old enough to trust/reject Christ. Christ offered the ultimate payment for all sin, including original sin. This is obtained by faith. Obviously those who have no capacity to believe or exercise faith are extended grace based upon the death of Christ.

And whoever Brad is................Well let's just say his theology is mythology.

Is this in scripture or an interpretation? Where does it say God has mercy on those who do not have the capacity to know him?

I'm sorry for almost derailing your thread OP. Must have been having one of my Christians observations again that atheists can't relate to.

I haven't followed the Anthony case closely at all. About all I've heard is its a very young pretty mother with a missing kid. They've now found the body and there's a lot of evidence in the Mom's car and the Mom keeps changing her story and the grandparents sound very confused.

My personal take without examining everything is a psychological one. I'd like to see them run a battery of psychological tests on the young mother because I suspect she's some personality combination of narcissist/pathological liar.

I suspect the narcissism because she'd have two motivations for killing her kid as a narcissist. A narcissist lacks empathy and is in love with themself.

I heard from a friend that the mother was actually jealous of the grandmother because the little girl loved grandma more than mommy. Plus the young mother of the child probably wants to have a good time and children require sacrifice. So you love yourself, you want to have a good time but you have to be a mommy to a kid who doesn't even love you the most is a motive that would tend to deepen a narcissist's natural psychopathological tendencies. Narcissists are also known for their manipulativeness and their construction of lies and reality around themselves. They only love themselves and can't really connect well with other people.

In the OT bible Manassas actually repents and is saved. Manassas was a king of Israel who was known to sacrifice his very own children to a false God. Now if Manassas can repent and turn anyone can repent, turn and be saved if there's a true repentance and a true change in conduct.

So if Anthony can truly repent and change then maybe she won't go to hell but you have to think getting over her personal narcissism is one hell of an obstacle and her repeated changings of her statements pretty much show that she hasn't had any change of heart or enough awareness of her own personal guilt to repent. If she had broke down and confessed to her crime she might have a shot at being saved but right now it looks like she's only concerned with saving herself so her own perversity may do her in.

You are talking about Casey Anthony. She is the mother. Caylee Anthony is the little girl who was killed before she was 3 years old. There are some in here who believe she will go to hell because she was not baptized.
Unbelievable

Can we extend the statement "God is just" to also imply, "how can he condemn someone who has used logic and deductive reasoning to realize that there's no good reason to believe in his existence or that Jesus died for our sins."

Also, God is just so how can he condemn someone who was born into a Muslim culture and was indoctrinated into the wrong religion by mere chance (or not even chance, God made it happen and essentially condemned his own creation)

When using rationality and logic, belief is not a choice but rather a byproduct of evidence and logical consistency. I don't believe in the Christian God not because I don't choose to, but because it's impossible for me to do so. Much like I don't choose to believe in gravity or that 2+2=4, they're merely byproducts of empirical evidence and reasoning.

Surely, if the Christian God is real and is just, he can't condemn an atheist any more than someone born into a Muslim family or a young child who has not developed her brain yet.
