I'd find arguing Pro on the design topic much more of a challenge than on the PoE topic, since I've actually already sort of done that (beware - if you start reading that thread it shall become more tl;dr than you can possibly imagine).
But OK, since there's been some quibble, I will erect a Pole.
Oh, ok, do ID then. Fwiw, that abomination of a quote-fest that you linked to is why I'd argue for not having quotes allowed.
Well imagine the same discussion without quotes. Granted the OP of that thread was one of the most aggressively disingenuous posters I've ever come across, but it would've been... impossible.
I'm not actually sure, am I supposed to write a response to your opener without regard to your next post or are you up next and then I can respond to what you wrote in both opener and first response?
IIRC it's simultaneous posting all the way down, to preserve as closely as possible the 'feel' of a live debate. I threatened to think of some more satisfactory arrangement but my brains are addled by the heat and it's possible nothing more satisfactory exists.
When are the rebuttals due? Saturday good for you, around the late afternoon your time, say?
the only thing I don't like about the placeholder method is then I don't even realize the new stuff has been posted until I think to go back and reload the thread :P
All references to 'lunar eclipses' in my first rebuttal should of course be to solar eclipses. Derp.
Also, let me know whenever's good for you to do Round 3 and to avoid hassle we'll confirm by PM that each of us has our part done before sending. In retrospect I assume that's what zumby and ganstaman did.
