Everyone should take a look at this video. Some of the speakers are religious but most are not. If nothing else it will give believers a true understanding of the mind of Atheists.

I've seen the debate the they talk about between WLC and Hitchens and WLC won it hands down. It was a very unprepared and intellectually lazy Hitchens that talked that night. That may be their only encounter with him but they are doing him a great, great disservice throughout the talk. He immersed himself in all forms of literature and it was his great love above all others. He was a self-confessed contrarian and would happily argue the other side just for the arguments sake so to think that he hadn't read C.S. Lewis or fully understood the arguments against his position is not giving the man any credit.

There's also something about WLC that makes me a little sickly.

In the podcast Craig spoke of the panel he and CH were on before the debate, and that Craig chided him on how unprepared he was, hoping he would be better prepared for the debate. I was disappointed that CH didn't take his advice and I'm sure Craig was as well.

I do think CH had a passing acquaintance with Lewis but I doubt it was any more than superficial and I doubt he understood Lewis.

I obviously can't comment on his understanding of Lewis' complete works but he does quote from 'Mere Christianity' in 'God is Not Great' on a couple of occasions so he has at least thought about Lewis' arguments enough to form a rebuttal.

Pod was interesting, if a little dismissive, but it's heartening to hear that he was well liked(if not much else).
