Hi all, I play under finnianp on stars and am looking for a stake for 50nl. I've been playing cash seriously for about a year and a half. The reason I'm looking for a stake is that I need to withdraw most of my bankroll to book a holiday to Thailand for the summer, where I'll continue to grind. I've had one backer in the past, finished the 150k hand contract (at 50nl)with no compaints from the backer, making over 1k for each of us. I'm sure he'll provide me with a good reference.

What I'm looking for is $1500 USD to play 50nl, splitting the profits 35/65 in my favour. This might sound strange but there is very little risk of getting scammed, because I've been staked $1500 in the past with no complaints. Another reason my share of the profits is so high is because I'm a proven winner over ~1,000000 hands. I play around 15k hands a week, but this will increase once my college exams finish in May.

So why is it that your PT graph is accurate with the bottom graph, but not the first one?

Is pretty much your only play at 50NL under that backer?

Solid stats by the way. Good luck finding a 35/65 backer though. A 1bb winner can still have significant swings, but with your stats, and providing that your previous backer says good things about you, you will probably get some offers.

Yes pretty much, despite a few small shots at 50nl back in Feb and Mar 09 when I was a poorer player.

As to my winrate, I really think I am better than a 1BB player. I was 24 tabling for the duration of the stake, but the idea is to drop to 15 tables, improve, and gradually get back to playing 24 at a greater winrate. If someone sticks with me, I hope to be 24 tabling 50nl with at least a 2.5BB/100 winrate in less than two months. I should probably have mentioned this in the first post.

PTR started to track 2-50NL in fall 2009 so if he played most of his hands before that, PTR wouldn't have them.

55% for you for the first 50k hands if > 3.5ptbb we move to 60/40 for you, i mean 1.47BB is nothing stunning justifying such a huge markup in your favour (and the 1mil hands graph does not show a much better wr)

Very true, but the idea is for me to drop the amount of tables I play and improve, and then gradually increase the tables back up to 24. There is no risk in me running off with anyones money, the only risk is will I improve or not, and by how much. If I don't, then ~1.5BB/100 isn't a disaster for anyone involved.

If you are pretty sure you'll improve and expect to do 15k hands a week why wouldn't you take the deal with the terms that you reevaluate after 50k hands or so?

The truth of the matter is that I can risk half money and stake a decent 25Nler (4ptbb) for the same profit. Or stake two for the double. And believe me people become quickly trustworthy when you have the copy of their passport and filtered out the shady ones, so it is not really an issue either.

Yep. If you're doing your job as a backer, you will have lowered the risk of someone running with your money, so your real risk is whether they will make a profit and if so, how much over what time period.

And even if you have a reference, nothing personal, but there's still a chance that you would run off with the money.

I may have a solution, my PT3 graph did the same sort of thing after updating to the latest beta, a beta or 2 ago, only does it on an unfiltered graph. If you find out the date of your first played hand, then use filter since a date, that is just before the first hand you played it gives the correct BB/100, no of hands etc...
