Well, w/e it is just tried to attack one of my cats.

They aren't afraid of deer, and it wasn't small enough to chase them through the security fence, but I should've seen some sign of it as I walked around the house.

I'm stumped.

Also, now that my cat isn't screaming anymore it occurs to me that it was probably stupid to walk around the house with only a flashlight.

Only wildlife I've seen make house pets go crazy was a mountain lion. But maybe it was something else like a honey badger.

Lol, you got me. I actually googled "Honey Badger" --native to Africa.
The mountain lion did cross my mind, we've definitely got them in the area and they might smell my own cougarlicious threat to their territory.

Weird fact. There are no raccoons up here. First time GW came to Canada he freaked and took pictures when we came across one. Skunk, possibly, but an attack on a cat without stink doesn't make sense. No garbage to draw them in, we have communal, alley pick up. Whatever was there was after the animals, and/or their fresh mouse kills only.
