yes but its much easier to deflect a blow from a bat and either take it from the opponent or grab it and stabilize it. you cant grab onto a blade. well i guess you can, its just not a good idea.

the best stance with a knife will not give a bat a chance to disarm them.

also the best knife user won't let the bat owner know he has one until it is too late

LOL, seriously? 0% chance you could grab the bat out of my hands. Why would I try to grab the blade to disarm you when I can hit your hands/arms and easily make you drop it?

there are many diff training methods to learn defense against an attack with a bat/stick/pole/bludgeoning instrument
