I've never been a fan of toshiba's. That's incredibly cheap for an 18.4

I got an HP HDX18 last summer for $1200 and would recommend it over a Toshiba. Search around.

18" is fairly limited. The options are like the Toshiba, ASUS (which I read bad reviews of that model, which I almost bought), my HP and someone else makes one. Out of all 4 of the models available, the HP stood out - HD, bluray, 1TB HD, surround sound, 4GB ram, 2.26 dual core CPU - as the best of all the models out there.

i'd never get an 18.4" laptop. my 17" one is hard enough to carry around as is.
