The word Great gets thrown around quite often. I mean there are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of guitarists that are virtual, complete unknowns who can play the instrument on a par with any guitarist that has ever enjoyed notoriety. I can't claim to know the entire discography of most players. I know a handful of tracks from Stevie Ray Vaughn, have seen him on Austin City Limits back in the day, etc.. Bottom line is... go surf youtube if you are interested.. and u will be amazed at all the great guitar playing you will find.

speed metal lol not exactly..I listen to everything, I am almost 39 yearsold. I have been exposed to many guitarists/musicians. I like everything from Seal to Pat Metheny Group to Al Di Meola to Sade to Journey to Metallica to Bela Fleck and the Flecktones to David Bowie to Ice T to The Beatles to The Bee Gees to Faith No More to The Who to Lady Gaga.. I think u get my point, but I think I get your point.. which might be that people discover an artist/musician that resonates/means something to them, and they wanna share it with others! Mutant is into the music he is into: Queens of the Stone age and Them Crooked Vultures, and he isnt likely to deviate much. Same with you and Canoe and I.. although I would like to think I am open to discovering new stuff. That's where the good stuff is.. when u find a new gem out there. Keeps u inspired.
