It was becoming so spammy it was hard for it to serve it's function though because there would be pages in between relevant posts. I wish I could say I wasn't guilty of it but I once looked up how many posts I had in that thread and I wasn't really in a position to criticize anyone else.

It's very easy to select a bunch of posts and delete them. Takes no time at all.

I don't care if "my" thread is locked. I care that every single thread anybody makes about moderation ends with a mod coming in and saying "Yeah he's banned for [whatever]. I'm locking this." That doesn't foster much openness and makes everybody feel like the mods are just doing whatever they please and don't care about 4L's opinion. I was often accused of this, and I figure JM and Kev are, too. If they're not, it's just a matter of time. But you can combat it by actually making yourself accountable to the people you mod which is vitally important to keep a forum like 4L running smoothly.

Mods are supposed to do as they please within the rules of the website. There is no reason they should care about 4L's opinion on why some people are banned. This is not a democracy and I don't know why you think it is one. Maybe you should start an ATF thread about why the "FREE EVERYBODY" thread is closed.
