these past 6 weeks have been a rollercoaster for me.

it's been the lowest point of my life to, Eh **** it I don't care anymore just take one thing at a time. to if you gonna be a loser may as well be a loser don't try to be something you aren't ( it's tiresome)

I've been mulling whether or not I should see a shrink for the past like 4 weeks.

I get to see them for free through my University, but they can be pretty hit or miss and sometimes I'm not able to see the person I'm comfortable with, so sometimes I go a long time without.

and really it could just be a phase in my life. I mean... right now if i rate my life I'm at a 4 out of 10. so it's 4 better than it was like a week ago.

So my family doesn't have a very strong bond, parents divorced at a pretty young age, yadda yadda. Father is going to his GF's place for thanksgiving, mother was planning on going out to eat with a couple friends of hers, then she had made plans to go out to eat with me. Today she texted me saying she wasn't feeling very well and didn't really feel like going out, asking if I could just come over to her house and we eat whatever she can scrounge up which is like rice and maybe pasta, like not much.

Anyway I told her lets just skip it since I'm not feeling well either, which I haven't been, mentally, so I'm not going over there and will be alone for thanksgiving, which is kind of a usual thing for me. She will be alone too unless she goes out with her friends.

During holidays she's always put me and my sibling on the backburner to go out of state and spend holidays with her family and ****, so idk I'm kinda just like whatever we never see each other on holidays as it is so what's the point?

But I can't help but have to ask, AITA?

I know the feeling man. I've had xmass alone. ( dad was at work, sister noped out and went on holiday)

but it was ok I made the best of it and I had a good dinner ( and lots of boose)


we have never had fam here and at one point or another, it would be nice to have girl who had a big family so i could experience it.

The family on my mom's side is very large, but I've never felt super comfortable in it. I don't really do lots of people well. I have a hard enough time making the very small number of personal relationships I have meaningful and lasting. At large family gatherings I always tended to just hang out with a small group I was comfortable with. A lot of times I would go off by myself, and still do that. A year or two ago my mom had family over for dinner and it was cramped in the kitchen and at the table so I just went and ate by myself in the other room. I could have squeezed in the table but **** that imo.
