I genuinely think the opposite is true. For me, when I'm working, I'm used to getting up and going out everyday, so then on the weekends if I have no plans I feel kind of lost, and sometimes get bored. However, when I take two weeks off at Christmas, or back when I was younger and didn't bother with a job for like 8 months, I never got bored. I don't have a good enough grasp on phycology to understand why.
Also, I think most, if not all boredom actually comes from feeling lonely. I can't ever recall feeling bored when I was in good company. So yeah, my advice would be to get a friend
The pizza place I go to, if you go half-and-half with a pizza they charge you full topping price for each topping. So half bacon, mushrooms and olives; half pepperoni, sausage and green peppers counts as 6 toppings!
