I miss video games. I played WoW for like 4 years, was probably goat antisocial period. I just can't get into the new ones like I did that,

doing things irl is taking over.

I know I'll never move back, GW hated it there and it is super expensive compared to here...but I'd love to find someplace similar.

Ofc I'm from some place terrible, that's why I don't live there anymore. And I don't miss it. So far the islands are very expensive compared to mainland Thailand. But would come again.

I could see Chiang rai being a very nice place to live if I was able to telecommute. There were many expats in Chiang Mai, but in the million + people it wasn't that noticeable.

Minneapolis/St. Paul is 1 million+, iirc, but is 3+ hours. There are also a handful of cities around 100k, the closest is an hour away, Duluth.

The truth is, I hate this place and can't wait to move away. There's a lot of unspoiled nature, and lakes everywhere you look, but the people have taught me that I am a terrible snob. They organize Spaghetti "feeds", eat "taco in bag", they think camouflage is an every day style choice, they're openly racist, homophobic. I'm regularly told when they see me reading, "oh you like reading? I haven't read a book since highschool!"
