My last squadron's leadership basically didn't give a **** what the AFI's said, which sucked for us. And none of us were willing to go to the group CC about, like, improper shipping practices.
I had one nice win, though. They tried to make me take a PT test early (and on only one day's notice, to boot) when I was supposed to be in the middle of a 42 day recuperation, and I fought it. The CC told me I was going to have to, but when my supervisor and I told him we were going to get legal involved, CC backed down. It's my biggest victory yet.
I did not like that unit, and I'm so glad that it is disappearing from the Air Force in five days.

That much I know. It just seems like such an odd way to do things. The people retained are the ones who are good at navigating MPF-type things, and there's no attempt to retain the best performers. I guess it's the government way.
