Yeah, well, I never travel. I've been told that you can't go TDY or PCS while on a referral EPR, so I ain't goin' nowhere for awhile anyway.

Last edited by Mayo; 05-24-2012 at 02:04 PM. Reason: The only thing I've put on a travel voucher is $40 for one cab ride. If I'd known the $75 limit, I'd've tipped way more.

wat

I don't know what those words mean. It was gonna be a five ldo, but then I failed the PT test and they wouldn't let me retest, so it's a referral. That's all I know. It's not final until Monday, so I guess I get my copy then?

I've lost all frame of reference here. Over and out

i have a buddy in escon village who is a pt guy for his bunch (or was) in spokane.... he is a master sergeant who i know and respect a great deal... would you like me to pm you his email in case you have any questions about your rights etc in this process?

a referral epr is a referral for 3 reasons...

one if the epr is a 1

two is the epr has any block marked to the far left

three if derogatory language is used about the airman... ie this airman is turrible...etc

No, that's not necessary. But thanks. Mine's a referral because on the PT section "Does not meet standards" is/will be checked, so I guess that it's number two.

it really feels like you should be getting a retest prior to an epr being done on you.... if i were your boss (and i didn't hate you) i would (if the epr was less than a 5) write you a new epr every 120 days for the next 600 days orrrrr......

if it were a 5 write you a new epr in 120 days

Someone upstream denied my request to retest before EPR closeout. I think it was the squadron CC personally. I was pretty upset when that decision came down yesterday.
05-24-2012 , 02:22 PM
I thought I had to wait a year to get a new EPR?

Well, the PT AFI is written in a really straightforward way, and thus I know definitively that to retake a failed PT test, your window is 42-90 days after failing. To retest earlier, you need commander approval. My EPR closes on day ~34, so I asked to retest thirteen days early (which would've been today, actually). My supervisor, NCOIC, chief, and others all supported me, but it didn't happen. I have my theories as to why, but they're not really relevant now.

So, I get an automatic referral EPR. I have absolutely no idea what that actually means. The EPR AFI is an incomprehensible mess, and the only thing that I have been able to cipher is that I won't promote (scheduled for January) and can't PCS as long as it's active. My squadron is shutting down and there are apparently no other 3D152 billets at Aviano (even in the comm squadron), so I have no idea how that will play out when the time comes.

Everyone's acted like I'm stuck with this EPR for 365 days. It'd be hella great if I could get a new one sometime, but no one's acted like that's an option
