The movies suck except for maybe 6 and 7 p 1 because the kids could actually act a bit.

4 and 3 were both equally well crafted novels plot-line wise, but 3 was way more efficient with it than 4. So many asides for series-wide story-telling purposes it took away from 4 as a stand-alone book a bit imo.

The movies were so bad it hurt to watch them sometimes. I can't wait until enough time passes for them to be remade. There was a noticable shift in quality toward the end of the series, but that wasn't saying much.
