I saw a patient my first day as a CNA who had contractures that pressed her legs together at the shins and people had apparently forgotten to put pillows between her legs.

Fun part is she had a 13.5cm long section of exposed bone (Tibia) where the flesh had literally rotted away from lack of blood flow. In a hospital I have never seen anything worse than that. I have a long list of dandy ones outside that beat it...but that is different.
