I had KJo when I won the biggest pot of my life.

Flop: Jxx, two spades.

Villain checks, hero bets, villain calls. Villain on a flush draw ldo.

Turn: K of spades.

Villain checks, hero checks.

River: K. Hero has nuts.

Villain bets small, hero shoves for like triple pot. Villain tanks, tables hand (Q 3 lolive poker). Hero sits very still and acts like he's acting like he's not worried. "It's not a lie, if you believe it" says George Costanza. Well that's what hero did. In that moment, Hero put himself on AK. Villain eventually calls.

Dealer, who was a friend of Hero's, says "nuts" before Hero even tables his cards. Hero collects $1500 pot and, in keeping a promise to dealer, tips nothing.

Actually, the above is not my biggest hand in terms of money. It is the biggest in terms of BB, as it was at 1/2NL. Biggest was at 2/5NL, and had a similar structure:

Hero has QQ.

Flop Kxx

Villain checks, Hero bets, Villain calls. Villain has a K ldo.

Turn blank.

Villain checks, Hero checks

River Q

Villain almost bets, then checks. Hero shoves $900 into $200 pot. Villain instacalls and triumphantly tables AK.

I can't think of a better reason to kill a man

No. I was basically certain that villain had KQ when he snapped me off. Before that, I thought he had a weak K when he didn't bet the flop or turn. But I knew he wouldn't go four streets without betting with KK, so I didn't really care.

With a grease fire. Thus you can die in a grease fire.
