My boys can stand on their tail and propel themselves while they apply a double leg kick, truly amazing. Is that legal in Sumo?

No. Any part of the body touches the ground other than the feet and it's a loss.

Figures. I really think that the sport is too stodgy and conservative. Someone should start an Area Sumo League with some next-gen rules.
