I have been considering getting PokerTracker 3 and I have been getting some conflicting information about the collecting of statistics. I understand that it is no longer allowed to collect data from tables you observe (not playing at). Data can be collected while you are actually sitting at the table on other players. My question is - if I sit at a table and am playing against someone I frequently play against, will the old statistics I have seen them play show up attached to this player? Also can I actually review the play of their old hands, like what they had, how much they raised, if they won or lost, ect.?

Yes and yes - you will see stats from all of their previous hands that you played against them, and you can review and play these back. You will only have stats from hands you play, but once these are imported there is no restriction on their use.

yes. I see stats based on thousands of hands for some regs. One of my HUD stats is "how many hand histories on this guy do I have in my DB".


Yes, this is one of the main points of having a DB. Of course for hands that do not go to showdown you only get to see the betting action (unless someone decides to flash their cards despite the absence of showdown).
