When I click on show HUD in the replayer, PT3 freezes and needs to be re-started. Am I doing something wrong?

That shouldn't be happening.

Please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled and restart PT3) and reproduce this crash then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log files to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

Weird... I tried it twice this morning and it froze both times. After reading your response I enabled logging, tried to duplicate it, and it didn't freeze. Could it have been something else I had running? It seems to work now. But thanks for letting me know about the service ticket.

Logging shouldn't change what else is running; it is possible that another program could have caused a conflict, especially if you are using several AHK scripts. You can feel free to keep logging enabled though and if it ever happens again you can send us the log files at that time.
