atm i have postgres version 8.2.5 installed. PT2 runs fine and it seems, that PT3 is running fine too with this version.
is it nonetheless advisable, that i should install Postgres Version 8.3.1. for PT3 ?

found the answer in the pt3 forum (which was down for several hours)
APerfect10 wrote, that there is a performance gain (10-15%)
