PT3 db disappeared... PT3 db disappeared...

I was using PT2, and was trying to delete some dbs...

here's what I did:
I went to maintain db names, and removed it from the list
then went to db functions, and selected the db from the "delete a database" drop down menu, and deleted it.

(it happened to have the same name as one of my PT3 dbs...)

So now, in PT3, my 2million+ hand DB is gone...

If I try to set it as the active db, i get a "unable to login ton database xxx, reason: fatal, db xxx does not exist"

So, why did this happen ? I'm assuming there is no way to recover this database, but that's kinda ****ty that a PT2 function erases a PT3 db...

any ideas or explanations why this happened ??

It probably happened because you called 2 databases by the same name and then deleted one of them..
Once you have deleted it there is no way to recover it, but you probably still have the original hand histories in the 'processed' folder (see 'move processed files to' on the auto import tab). If so, create a new database and run a Manual Import of that folder.

if I go to database -> set active database. It is still listed there. how do I delete it ?

when I go to database management, and try to delete it from the list... I get an error saying "db does not exist..."

so I tried just using the "remove" command and it took it off the list, does that mean it's still on my computer and if so, how do I actually delete it

I think that will have got rid of it - if you deleted it from PT2 then all you will be able to do in PT3 is remove the reference to it.
