I have just tried to download the latest build of PT.

When I try to run the programme, it first of all asks for my registration key. When I enter it, it says that it cannot connect to the registration server.

So, I try to run it in trial mode and nothing happens. Yet, if I try to start it again it says that a version of PokerTracker is already running- it does not come up on my task manager though.

So basically, PokerTracker is not starting, so I dont know what to do. Any suggestions?

What anti-virus/firewall software are you using?

Norton 360- this has never been a problem before though, I have been using PT3 for a few months without any problems...

Several people appear to be having problems with Norton. Please try disabling it entirely and see if you can get PT3 started.

Does seem to be working. Hopefully wont have to turn Norton off every time I want to run PT though? Cheers Kraada

Yeah OK so this works, but it is not a satisfactory fix. As soon as Norton comes back on, PokerTracker crashes. I dont want to have my computer unprotected whenever I want to play, so what would you suggest?

You should be able to configure Norton to allow PT3 full access, but "PokerAce" posted yesterday saying that there are some general problems with Norton and recommending changing to a different firewall.
If Norton is preventing PT3 connecting then there is nothing PT3 can do about that.

One user on our forums said that after discussion with the Norton technicians they recommended he uninstall and reinstall Norton and that did the trick for him. Given that it's a fairly painless procedure it's certainly something worth trying.
