I'm trying to help a friend download the trial version of PT3. Looks like the download was successful. He's running Windows XP. We downloaded the Build 3 version 3.

When trying to start the program up for the first time, we get pop up window that asks for a password for the postgreSQL server. It's in a window titled, Configure postgreSQL server.

I run PT3 on Visa for myself and don't remember ever getting this password message.

Any ideas??

Thanks.

Did you install PostgreSQL? Click Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> Start Services to start the PostgreSQL service. If you don't see the "Start Services" link or the PostgreSQL folder then you don't have PostgreSQL installed and you will need to download and install PokerTracker 3 Build 3 with PostgreSQL from our download page.

If you have PostgreSQL installed, the default values are:
Server: localhost
Port: 5432
User: postgres
Password: dbpass

If this password does not work for you, you can disable password authentication by following the directions of this tutorial.
