I believe the postgreSQL dbs for PT2 and PT3 are linked. If I import into either PT2 or 3 does the hh show up in the both?

Is mass import of files quicker in PT3?

No, they are not linked. You have to import into them separately.
PT3 should import bulk hands faster, yes.
