For a tight player the dealt method is obviously best since you make money even when you do not contribute to the pot. The weighted contributed method is neutral since you get the exact proportion of what you paid in rake. Where does the contributed method fit into this? When you contribute to the pot you get rake/number of players. This is good where you have minimal contributions in the blinds (so 2/10 or 2/9 for FR) but not so good when you win a big pot and pay a large amount of rake but have to split it with at least 2 other people, but more often than not 4+. Is there a way on PT for working out how much rake I paid according to this method? Thanks

Let me just make sure I have the method correct:

They take rake for each hand, divide it by the number of players in the hand, and if you put money in at any point (even if you didn't reach the flop), you get credit for that hand? The problem with this is that you can't tell if some opponent limp/folds preflop from the way the data is stored in the database right now, so if that's how it's calculated you can't get an accurate version of that right now. If it required you to, say, see the flop in order to get credit, we could do that though.
