Last Question?? Last Question??

I have taken your advice regarding "moving fikes to a new PC"; I ran the backup and created a file in my hard drive, on the old PC; I then e-mailed the file as an attachment to myself. Seems to have worked fine.

Now would you kindly explain, step by step, how I would go about retrieving these files from my e-mail and getting them into my new database??, on the new PC.

I believe that this will end this whole series of questions

Thanks again "yankeedawg"

How to save an attachment varies depending on what email client you use. So, what email client are you using?

I use yahoo mail/ free version.

Kraada; I have managed to download the attachment and save it to my computer.Now..................

Do I go to the import button on PT3/ manual import/ "import from file(s)?

If yes, what else needs to be done?

I tried to open the file; but an error message came up saying that windows could not unzip the fileAnyway I've decided to scrap the idea and just start again. Thought I'd save you the time answering the question.

Before I go, My compliments on the Beta30.7 version. It kicks ass. Saves alot of time setting up the HUD as it's pretty much already done. Also the SQL database loaded like a charm with the windows7.

I appreciate your patience in answering the slew of questions I have for you.

I'm glad to hear you like Beta 30.7 - Beta 30.8 was just released and things just got even better

As to the zip file if you double click the file and drag the text files out of it (say onto your desktop) then you can use Import From File to import those files.

Kraada;am I to understand that I can still import these files, even though I have already imported HH's into the new database? thought these files could only be imported into an empty database? Please clarify

You can import any hand history or summary files into any database whether it's empty or not.
