I have just purchased PT3. Whenever I start PT3 it obviously asks for postgressql server. I have uninstalled/reinstalled pt3/postgres sql numerous times and it never connects. (this is what it says to do on the pokertracker support forum) I can't seem to find my problem under the FAQ, ect. that they have... Basically my sql server is either is never being created or never logging in?

now when i try to install sql ... after it's almost finishing up the installation of postgres sql it says "failed to set permissions on the installed files...."

When I try to logginto the server from PT3 it always always create it says unable to connect to this database. Please check the configuration

if anyone can help out it would be greatly appreciated i have installed / reinstalled pt3/sql 3 times all ready I don't think that's the problem and that's the solution if ound on their website

If you haven't got postgres correctly installed then PT3 won't be able to connect to it.
If you follow the steps in the How to reinstall Postgres guide it takes you through exactly what you need to do, but you need to follow it CAREFULLY to make sure you do all the steps.

Okay, I'll try those steps again but as I said I've all ready done it twice - I'll be as careful as possible

On this step - "Deleting the PostgreSQL Directory
If you wish to preserve your existing database then please skip this step. This step should only be
performed if you are going to be installing a new database or want to delete your existing database.
Open "My Computer" and browse to your C:/Program Files directory. Locate the directory named
"PostgreSQL" and right‐click ‐> Delete.
PostgreSQL is now completely uninstalled from your computer and you can now proceed to re‐install."

Whenever I try to delete these it says you need permission to delete these files. I have UAC turned off - anyone know the problem?

Also, since it said that i tried installing it anyway. At the very end of installation i get a message now that says "failed to install because of an error" somethig along those lines...

Please schedule a remote assistance session where someone can logon to your computer with you and directly troubleshoot/resolve the issue.
