I installed it, but I am confused as to what to put for my port and my password and username, I didn't ever set those! Do I need to reinstall postgresql?

How did you install postgres? If you installed the "Full" install version of PT3 it will have set up postgres for you.
The default port is 5432 and the password is "dbpass" (no quotes).
If that doesn't work, you can remove the need for postgres passwords: How To: Remove PostgreSQL Password
