My PT has outgrown the hard drive in my computer. I was getting disk space warnings so I purchased a 500g external. I sent the PT (6g) to the new drive and deleted the original PT from my laptop. I guess you guys know that it wouldnt work that way. Pat told me to download PT and gave me a code. I now have a new PT2 database with no data. I can't copy and paste the old db folder to the new one. i have 1/4mil hands worth and would REALLY like to get things going. My HUD is still on the C drive (for what thats worth). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is your PT2 database Access or Postgres?
If it's Access you should just be able to link back to it easily, using the database management window create a new DB but say that it already exists and browse to it.
For Postgres it really depends how you backed up your DB, just copying the folders won't work.

Why did you have to create a post here when we have been dealing with this issue on the PT site. Now I have no idea who you are or what I told you because I can't see previous discussions we have had and I have no idea who you are.

If you are using Access then you need to copy the files listed in this FAQ

from the place where you backed them up to the newly installed PT folder, I assume this folder is on the external drive.

If you have more issues, reply to either the forum post or the support ticket you created ON THE PT SITE so I can see previous discussions.
