2008/06/04 00:09:20: Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unable to login to database (PT3 DB). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Beta 12, Vista. I started and stopped SQL through admin tools services app. I rebooted my computer. Not sure whats going on.

Ok I think whats happening is that I have Postgre 8.2 installed from PT2 and also 8.3 installed from PT3 on my new HDD. I think the port is being used whuch PT3 is trying to connect to so it will not allow me to connect. Is there a way I can change ports in PT3? Thanks

Edit C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\Data\Config\PokerTracker.cfg and change the

[Database]
Default.Postgres.Port=

line to whatever you need it to be.

(We will be adding more user-friendly ways of modifying this, for the record.)

Ok so heres the problem in some more detail. I only have SQL 8.2 on my machine which is running Windows Vista. I cannot connect to the first two database in the list but I CAN connect to the one that is set as "Active" and highlighted in the screenshot. The DB that I can connect to is 100% empty and I just created it 5 minutes ago to test if I'm able to connect. The SQL service IS running. I also just came off a computer restart which before I restarted I was able to connect to the Summer 2008 DB (second one). Also Hold Em Manager was running on port 5433, but wouldnt connect since the restart, so I changed the HM port to 5432 and it connects fine. So why wont PT3 connect? The Summer2008 DB is very important for me to reconnect to I just spent over 10 hours getting it setup for the 400th time and probably 20+ reimport. Thanks I seriously appreciate your support.

Click New, note what the port is set to, then click "Browse". This looks for other databases already on the server on the port in question. Do you see either of your databases on 5432 and 5433 this way? If so, if you click on them and click 'connect' what does it tell you when you try to connect?
