Simple question, seems like a simple answer. Been messing around but and looked at FAQ but to no avail.

EDIT: This is for Mac and its the free 60 day trial. I realize I have to play a few hands, but where is the auto import feature? Isn't that what is necessary?

The auto import button is on the Import tab. Take a look at our Quick Start Guide - it should explain things to you (and it's equally valid for Mac).
