Does it matter if when you download PT3 that you run or save the files or download???

No, but once you download it you are going to want to run it eventually. If you download it to your computer and don't run it later, nothing will get updated.

No I was asking when your downloading and it has the option to run or save the files...does it matter which one you choose or is just running the files fine???

Running the file is fine. Once you run them your PT will have the updates installed.

You do not need to save the download file.
