I'm running micro stakes edition of the most recent Beta version.
When I launch it, it asks me to log into the SQL database, which it's never asked me to do after the very first time I ran the program. When I try to connect, I get a couple different error screens, essentially saying that the connection to the server stopped unexpectedly and it can't connect to the data base.
I turned off my firewall (which has never been a problem, either), but that didn't help.
Any one else having this problem? Is there a problem on the server side?
The postgres server is (or should be) running on your computer.
The first thing to try is a reboot of your computer as this sort of problem is normally caused by a Windows update and a reboot will fix that.
