I downloaded the free trial to try this out. When open the program and push continue trial, a window pops up that says "configure postgreSQL server". I click on "connect," but it says "unable to connect to this database, please check the configuration." I have tried reading the manuel and everything but I cant figure this out. Please help

I located a thread that appeared similar and tried the instructions there. I uninstalled postgreSQL and tried to reinstall it. When it prompts me to create a password, I put in dbpass, but it says this is the wrong password. Now I cant even get postgreSQL installed

Try svcPASS83 or postgrespass - if neither of those work, please follow the uninstall/reinstall guide available on our documentation page and that will walk you through the steps to remove that account so that you can put in whatever password you would like.

I already tried to uninstall, reinstall. Then I did the same with the postgreSQL...and now I am stuck there because I can't finish the installation. It asks for a password and says that my password is incorrect. I tried each dbpass and the two above..

Click Start, (on Win XP click Run) type cmd and hit enter. At the command prompt type this command:
net user postgres /delete

and hit enter. It should say the command completed successfully, then you can finish your installation process (see pages 7 & 8 of the uninstall/reinstall guide for a walkthrough with pictures).
