I recently uploaded 1,000,000 hands to my PT3 which took about 12 hours to load. Now the database is clustering and has been doing so for 6 hours. Unfortunately there is no progress bar so I have no idea how long more this task will take. Any idea?

It depends on several other factors which makes it tough for me to estimate (it's not a PT3 function so PT3 does not know how long it will take, either). But that doesn't sound outside the realm of possibility, and it might take another couple of hours as well. If you press ctrl+alt+del and click Task Manager you should see postgres using CPU time, indicating that things are still working.

Ok I opened up the taskmanager-on the applications tab it says the programme is still running but on the processes tab the CPU usage is 0. If I open up the pokertracker programme itself the cluster time clock is still running (6:33:45 and counting) so I assume it's still running ok. Next time I do this I'll have to leave the laptop for 24 hours

The first cluster takes quite a bit longer than subsequent clusters. Also, if you defrag your hard drive and have plenty of free space, it will go along quicker.
