when i try to find my name to see my stat it is not showing my name, also when i start to play it stops importing at after only 2 hands, also the player near the left of the dealer stats are not showing.

What version of PokerTracker are you using? PT3? Specifically which version? If it's not Build 3 you should update.
Download and install PT3.

Have you imported a session that you played?
What site are you playing at?
Did the hands import OK or did you see errors?

i got the thing to import but now it just stops 6 and it still does not give me my stats or show me in the player log

Do you have Pokerstars configured to write hand history files? (http://www.pokertracker.com/products...?doc=starsconf)
Are the files actually being written as you play?

did that not working hud works but i still can not see my stats nor my name in the poker tracker software

You need to import a hand you've played in before you can set up your screenname in PokerTracker 3.

Once you've imported a hand you've played in, switch to the Texas Holdem tab, click on the Settings box along the top and then click the Search button to search for your screen name. Wait for the player list to load, choose your name from the list and click "OK" and that will be all you need to do.

With PT3 not running, when you play at Pokerstars are hand history files being created?
