New to HU. Villain is Asian. It's our third or fourth hand and I haven't shown down anything but all I can tell is he might be a little aggro.

Poker Stars $10/$20 Limit Hold'em - 2 players
2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked

Pre Flop: Hero is BTN/SB with 8 K
Hero raises, BB calls

Flop: (4 SB) 5 4 8 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps!, Hero calls

Turn: (6 BB) 8 (2 players)
BB bets, Hero raises, BB 3-bets

EDIT: Please discuss what his 3b range should include.

I'd put him on a monster (flopped straight, 2pair/set turning into fullhouse), very seldom 3 6 or 2 3, if he is a typical somewhat aggressive 10 20 player a 8 with mostly worse kicker is also possible. Because this is only he fourth hand he might also be overaggressive with a flush draw. Time to call down and find out.

It was TuanLam or something who I incidentally saw playing 50-100 3handed, he definitely seemed terrible but what do I know.

Anyways, I flatcalled, the river was a K, we go 4 bets, he rolls J8o, I question my line.

ha i had it narrowed down to him, efficacy, or you being a bigot .

btw he took 2nd in the wsop me last year. and he is very capable of 3betting the turn with just a flush draw and generally plays super aggro and 100% you either need to cap now or c/r the river. I've seen him playing 500/1000 a little saner so I think he's splashing around a bit at 10/20. against 99% of villains this is at least a good 8 so prob call down.

Wait, didn't an Asian guy win the ME too? So it was HU azn vs. azn? How many hands did it last, one?

Or two?

yeah the 8 with a crappier kicker is what seemed most likely to me. i probably would have gotten at least 2-3 bets in on the river afterwards as long as it bricked off, or as in your case improved your hand. of course with the improvement i am capping.
