Bodog bots? Bodog bots?

I wonder if the guy with sn Beater is a bot... I have no idea for sure if this guy is a bot or not, but he is [I]always[I] sitting at the 5/10 tables with $300. I rarely ever see him play though. Anyone had experience with him or know anything about it.

He is there at all hours of the day, seven days a week. lol

Quite possible if he is there ALL the time. Shoot a message off to support about it.

Hi all, I'm new, sorry, going to jump in abruptly. Was on the Bodog site tonight, and I think there were more bots in the low limit rooms than people. I watched one table with three people at it: grouch14, Mohegansun1, and Twigg. The time between deal and playing their hands was impossibly small. I don't see how any human, no matter how fast they were on the check/fold/call buttons, could look exactly like a computer playing against itself, round after round, and Mohegansun1 was at a second table at the same time, too.

At first, I was in heaven. I sat down with bots at three tables, and at the first two, I took a couple dollars without even trying before suddenly and mysteriously, the chairs around me filled with much better players.

So I hopped over to the table with the three superfast players, and the other seats filled the second I hit the chair, plus two of the three players suddenly slowed down their play, even though I'd watched the three players at that table go round and round for several minutes with no one else sitting in and no discernible variation in play time.

I can only assume people were going in to rescue their bots, which of course meant unfair advantage, since they were then sitting with their bots and playing two hands at the same table. Not to mention, it ruined my profitable and fun bot slap fest. Those things sucked so bad they made my play look good.

I think all of the shady goings on are worse at night, maybe these sites need more moderators? Hey, I'm looking for a job, and busting cheaters would be the most fun I could have and still get paid. Hire me. Or hire someone. But get rid of the darn bots, because they are going to kill online poker. Not to mention put me awfully on tilt all day.

I play the higher fixed limit games on bodog almost daily and have never run across a bot. From my experience, the person mentioned in this thread originally, beater, is definitely not a bot. I have played him a little at the 5/10 HU games and also, I believe, he was at a 30/60 6max game a couple of nights.

It is very typical on bodog to have one person sit down at a table, wait a while for another person to join, and then, all of a sudden, the entire table will fill up with players. Many of the regulars on bodog don't like to play heads up and will keep the game windows open until a 3 way or greater game gets going.

At night, you get more good regulars playing in the games as well as more poor players. Again, the games will fill up extremely fast once the action gets 3 way and will also break just as quick.

I don't have experience with the lower limits, but I am very familiar with the bodog regulars and often times see players who might play in the higher limits playing at 4/8 or lower limit holdem. I can't guarantee there aren't any bots but I can say that I have definitely never come across any on bodog.

SHnewbie, I don't play heads up either, I was sitting at mostly four and up tables, or coming in as the fourth.

In case this helps anyone: I'm having some luck tonight at the micro level by playing at tables where there are a minimum of four and a max of six players. Maybe it's just my playing style, but if anyone finds they're having a harder time of it after those tables do fill, I'd try hopping around the tables with lower numbers, or play the six max tables. I came out ahead just by refusing to sit still when a table filled. I hopped around like a rabbit on crack, but it worked. Probably annoyed the heck out of any actual humans at the table, but I can't help that. Money is money, even when it's pennies. And it's not like I'm such a threat that everyone sees me coming and flees with their stacks!

I agree there are a lot of bots at Bodog, but I disagree they are an unfair advantage. Most of them around dont have read possibility and can be killed by pure aggression. I personally love bots because I am exploiting them major time. I know how to recognize many bots just by the stats they play and the number of hands. Besides the different sites ( mainly FT, Bodog, UB and Cake poker ) all have their own "succesful" bots. I think botting is a thing which can never be taken down. Look at the 10 accounts which managed to shortstack up to 200NL on stars and play millions of hands and earn thousands of dollars before being recognized...

I personally think that bots are just a factor in online poker and just like humans they are easy to beat when u get a read on them.

The Philippines-based bots are back.

Guess they were just taking the summer off.

Thought Bodog may have removed them, but guess not.

Fun, fun, fun.

He's not a bot, I'm pretty sure. I have a couple observations of Bodog, however. I played him a few days ago and beat him for around 30bb's or so before he sat. There is no mention of this on mine or his PTR page, however. I'm not going to give my Bodog name out, but take my word for it. Also, on that same line, I played a guy two nights ago who I beat for 34 bb's. PTR shows me winning 16 bb's off of him. There are obvious tracking issues is my point. Some of my sessions just simply are missing, or the ones that aren't, are severely flawed. Who knows what his true winrate is, but he seems like a good player nonetheless.... and will quit you as soon as he thinks you are a competent opponent.

When I played Bodog I found that there seems to be a lot of bots. At least it looks like it... But who really knows.

I got a weird feeling potsmokingpingu is a bot. He just showed up on full tilt, and hes played like 11k hands in 3 days. He wont play me but when i sit fast leave and sit agian he will play 1 hand then sit out. Hes done this about 10 times to me, im up about 30 on him but hes making bot like plays. This is on full tilt 1/2 games hes a bit of a loser, but just the way he plays doesnt feel human. He never chatted once. Link to his ptr http://www.pokertableratings.com/ful...otSmokingPingu
