Arizona hasn't been to a bowl game in something like 10 years. I went to San Diego then, to watch them beat Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl. I'm probably going to this one also.

Is there any kind of public transportation to the stadium? The Holiday Bowl ran shuttle buses. Or do I have to drive and drink nothing stiffer than a Coke?

I didnt realize the stadium is like 8 miles off the strip... how crappy is that.

I was planning on walking to campus from the MGM, guess thats not happening.

contact the Vegas Bowl itself

I'm sure there will be shuttles

I seem to remember being around a bunch of Wyoming fans in the Excalibur a few years back that were shuttling to the game... I don't remember if the school set that up, or the group or the bowl

I don't think the stadium is near the main campus. I think it's where the Thomas and Mack is.

I did exactly that two years ago. I guess one day I should post the adventures that happened when I ended up having to hitch a ride to the actual stadium.

From AZ and going to the Bowl game. But also Arizona plays Mens BBall at noon vs UNLV and I got tix to that as well. Anyone know how far away the arena is from the stadium? Wonder if there will be a shuttle for that

they are pretty far from each other

one of my younger brother's high school friends went to Arizona and is doing the same thing

my guess is you can find some Zona alum/fan at the bball game to drive you to the bowl game

I think the bball game is at the Orleans Arena and not Thomas & Mack IIRC

No, it's at the Thomas and Mack. Which is near the airport, so worst case it would probably be easy to catch a cab back to the strip.

It's just an unbelievable coincidence that both games are in the same place on the same day.

Will there be booze served at either the UNLV/AZ Bball game or the Bowl game?

And after the bowl game where would you go if your just looking for a bar type atmosphere where its cool to just be wearing my Arizona football gear? I was thinking maybe O'Sheas, Dick's, some places in NYNY.... Any other ideas? Not really interested in any clubs, and Im going back to Vegas for NYE so I want to stay out of the pit. I might hit the poker table for a bit but the guys Im with aren't big poker players and might want to just party.

Isn't Venetian the host hotel for the Cats?

Yeah the V is the host hotel. Do they usually do something after the games at these hotels or is it just a hotel with discounted rates.

No idea, but there should be lots of Wildcats fans there.
