Anyone stay here? What did ya think? If I book the Vdara Suite you think the $20 trick would hook me up with something better?

I stayed there last summer. Very nice room (standard king) and you get a living room and kitchen if you want to eat a couple meals in the room. No actual casino is obv a con, but Aria is really close and the B isn't too far away. I'd stay there again if I was in Vegas for an extended period of time. For just a weekend, I'd rather stay somewhere that has poker/dining options available w/o leaving the hotel.

I've been in Aria but haven't actually stayed there. How close is Vdara to the strip relative to Aria. How long would it take to get to the Aria casino from Vdara?

It's as on-the-strip as anything else. It is literally connected to Bellagio and a walk that can be measured in feet to Aria.

Elevator door to casino, aria is way closer. Location is what makes vdara awesome. Rooms are ok, resort stuff is ok. 4 min walking to the two best resort/casinos (and bellagio)is awesome.

they actually list vdara as "off strip"? that's nonsense. Is aria the same? that just can't be right.

I can't say enough good things about Vdara! I was really hesitant to stay at a non-gaming hotel, and was really gonna stay at Aria again, but my mom convinced me to try Vdara, since it was something new for me, and at a great location. I figured it would be annoying to have to stumble from some other casino back to Vdara at 5:00 am, but it actually worked out very well.

3 mins to Aria, like other said, and then it's connected by walkway to Bellagio - mind you, from Bellagio entrance to the casino/poker room is kind of a walk, but no biggie.

Vdara is seriously the best place I've stayed in Vegas. It's really new, and clean and I liked the idea of having the little kitchenette thingy, even just to put drinks inside. The bathroom in Aria is nicer, but as a whole, Vdara is better, I'd say. They even had a freaky, horrible 'emergency evacuation' at 8:00 am when I was there, that scared the f outta me, and I STILL have great things to say about the place.

Oh wait, one negative (maybe) is that you have to do valet when you are there. Not sure if that's a pro or con for people. I thought it was super convenient and I liked that after a day of shopping or whatever, you could valet your car and then have a 2 second walk to get to the elevators to drop off bags, and not have to trek through a casino or whatever.

Great hotel!!! Not at all far from the strip, and you can pick between Bellagio (Best Buffet on the strip IMO and great poker room) or Aria (all the amenities) on a quick walk.
Would strongly recommend it.
