Love this TR.
Comps rule of thumb (my info is about 5 year old though) is you can get approximately 1/3rd of the expected house edge back in comps.
So $150 / roll at craps = $2 expected house profit per roll. Craps averages say 80 rolls per hour, so that’s an expected house profit of $160 per hour.
If you play for 3 hours that’s $480 in profit the casino can expect to make from you on average, and they are willing to give you $160 or so back in comps (free room).
Or another way to think of it is whatever your average bet is if you play for 3 hours you can get a single average bet back in comps.
