I'm seriously considering booking a solo gambling/partying trip to Vegas over Thanksgiving weekend. I have done the solo thing before many times so that is not a problem. What I am a bit concerned about is the place being a ghost town.

What can I expect in terms of how busy the casinos/card rooms/clubs and lounges will be that weekend?

Also, I have done a Vegas trip two or three times a year for the past five years or so. I'm 37 and enjoy having a few drinks after a day of grinding most evenings. Usually I have just stuck to bars around where I stay (mid strip) but am open to trying new bars/lounges/clubs with a good recommendation. Again, please remember that I am 37. I'm not a senior citizen but I'm not 21 either. Perhaps I will hit up Jay for some info. Anyway, any thoughts on this issue as well would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts/info.

Definitely not a ghost town. It is one of the busiest weekends of the year in Vegas.

This.

I was there for thanksgiving once and commented to a dealer about how slow it was. She said its just the calm-before-the-storm, every chucklehead from 300 miles around takes their Aunt Judy from Sheboygan down to Vegas after Thursday. It will be packed.
