Staying two nights (solo) and planning on playing the big 3 (V-Wynn-Bel)..Only have 2 days free..I found a 58 dollar round trip flight from Nor Cal and looking at those 3 hotels for the 2 nights..Which one do you think is the best value..Is Luxor much nicer than the other two? How close are the 3 hotels to the main poker action?

if u want 2 play at wynn, venetian and belagio i would recommand you stay at Circus Circus.. It is the closest to the hotels.. Stratosphere is a dump and Luxor is nice but on the complete other side of the strip, u will get raped in taxi rides from one side to the other... However it is close to MGM which is soft as hell...

NEVER stay at circus circus. You can feel the springs in the bed while you sleep. its horrible.

There's no reason to stay at Strat here as far as I can tell. I'd spring for Luxor probably. Depends on where you're wanting to spend your time.

If he Is going to be staying at Luxor he might as well pay for T.I...

$20 X 2 per cab rides each day (To the 3 hotels his playing at and back)

thats 40 + 49 = $89.. Might as well put in the extra $20/night a get the Venetian rate at $109/night then imo..

Stratosphere is in a really really bad neighborhood. I wouldn't walk anywhere from there. Circus circus is filled with kids and rooms can be way back off the strip so you may have to shuttle or walk a long ass way. Luxor isn't close to the casinos you want but it is the nicest by far. Do what above says and take the bus from the Luxor or play at MGM and Excalibur.

Circus Circus or Luxor depending on price/quality tradeoffs and which poker rooms you want to visit.

Stratosphere is in a sketchy neighborhood far away from rest of the strip and not much to do up there.

I know you didn't ask, but check out Bill's Gamblin' Hall. It's really cheap, clean, pretty comfortable, and centrally located (next to Bally's, x from Caesar's and Bellagio, easy access to others.

If you are trying to go really really cheap I say stay downtown at Vegas Club or Binions or Gold Strike. Get a 3 day bus pass $15 and call it a cheap vegas trip.

But if you want to stay somewhere on the strip Strat is ok and good for that price. But look at TI its nicer and right across from V and Wynn.

lol at that mentality..ive got my total costs (flight/hotel)down to less than 200 for the 2 day trip..where as a goof like you would pay 5 or 6 hundred easily for those same 2 days. Brilliant.

The DEUCE!!! It's now $3 dollars one way, $7 dollars for 24-hours! Stay at the Luxor, and take the deuce everywhere if you don't feel like walking! Circus Circus is a dump, and the Strat isn't much better.

I didn't feel comfortable in the area around the Strat, and I'm a fairly big guy. CC was a dump though I didn't sleep there. I'm with the Luxor/bus crowd. MGM was a very nice poker room and very soft.

Imperial Palace. You can get it for 35ish I think, it's in the middle of everything (you have NO idea how important this is until you go) and it's a better hotel. Right

Taxi/Monorail is usually a $10-25 round trip and you'll do it at least once a day if you're not staying inbetween Wynn and say Planet Hollywood. Don't stay north of Wynn or south of PH. The only cheap hotel is IP and although it's old it's fine and better than CC. Luxor was more of a dump than I expected. Go with IP over the three suggested. It's basically next door to the Venetian, within walking distance of everything else.
