I am going to Vegas in December with the Rake and am responsible to pick a show for us to attend. I stumbled across this and remember reading about it in DN's blog.

Has anyone attended to offer a review?

Thank you!

Don't waste your money. They were giving tickets away when I was there a few weeks ago. People at the tables that went said it was bad.

Go see Love at the Mirage.

i ve seen it twice but it's b/c i m a local and got free tickets.

if u can get them discounted or free, then i d check it out.

but i m not sure what the price is. i imagine since it's Venetian tickets have to be at least $60-70 and i wouldnt pay that much.

the show is entertaining.

Both times i went Gavin Smith and Eli Elezra played. Hellmuth was the host once and Vinny Favorito (sp?) was the other.

Lacy Jones and Kenna James host as well.

They pick 6 players to play with the 2 pro's. All 6 players are guaranteed prizes.

The premise is pretty much a tubro SNG. the audience is dealt a hand and participates. The overall leader at the end gets to join the table towards the end.

Luckily i was picked the 2nd time i went to the show.

u get 100K in chips and the blinds are 5K-5K to start.

Every 4th hand, the low stack is eliminated and the blinds go up.

Me and this chick had 80K after hand #8 and she beat me with high card.

She went on to win the damm thing...heh

the players are interactive and u can ask them questions...it depends who u draw as a host/player....Hellmuth was real cool offering bottles of DON and cash at times.

i bet scotty nguyen and daniel n would be great too.

I would recommend catching Vinnie Favorito at O'Shea's. He is the funniest MF'er you will ever see. For most of his show he plays off the audience and it's a riot. I guarantee you will not be disappointed. Tickets are $40 each but you can find a 2-for-1 coupon in "What's On" magazine. Definitely money well spent.

I can tell you not to waste your money on Danny Gans....that is, unless you're over 80 yrs old.

If you're on a tight budget check out the comedy club at either the Riviera or Tropicana. The comedy clubs probably give the most bang for the buck.

Mystere is good if you don't mind spending $.

They were giving them out in the poker room during the Deep Stack series. Just walk up and ask. They didn't ask to see players card or tournament entry, and handed out three, no questions asked.

Yeah no kidding. For a free show it was okay.

If you have a friend in town who loves TV poker and worships "big name tournament pros" then it might be worth $25 / ticket. People were taking pictures and getting autographs after the show, so there's that.

Otherwise... not so much.

I almost wanted to kill myself when I went due to Kenna James being the worst host of all time. Luckily, Daniel Negreanu was the host and made it more lively but I wouldn't pay a dime to see this show again. Love at Mirage is the best show in Vegas imo.

I went last week after I got a free ticket in the poker room. It was pretty horrible.

Sure you're not just mad because you didn't win anything?

I would have gone last week if I'd known tickets were free in the poker room. I spent all my time (and money) playing Deep Stack satellites.
