Day 2 - Do you believe in miracles?
Woke up early so only got 4 hours sleep. Did some reading and checking on stuff and then decided to go start the day. First up... Craps...
Passed a table that was empty and did some laps looking for the right feel. I also wanted to find pai gow cause I hadn't seen it yet. Couldn't find it so did end up back at the empty table that now had 3 people on it. Dude just hit a point so I jumped in.mTook a marker for 10k and we were off. Black on the line, 6 and 8 for 120. This dude, could throw the dice. I ended up having all numbers with at least 300 on and the 8 up to 900. Made a good sum on his roll. Next up was this dude that had no idea what he was doing. He was the typical 10 on the line, no odds kind of guy. I thought the previous roll was good, but this guy made everyone but him some cash. He would point, then hit the point hard way. Happened like 3 times. I think he made less than 100 himself, but after his roll I was up about 8k. Good start. Didn't take a pic cause I was off to get more!
I put some back in and then moved on to double deck BJ. **** BJ. I started at 500 a hand and was in there for a bit and then little it just went bad. Real bad. I put my craps winnings in and the 10k marker. Took out another 5k, bound to get some back and it was just brutal. On my last hand I had 2.5k out cause I was tilted and sure enough got a double with 6 up. Peeled off 2500 from my pocket and took the card down. Dealer did a fantastic king in the whole and then an even better 5 rip. Dealer on the other table winced... I just left.
Went and put 500 into UTH. Fun game, I had never played before. Asked them where PG was and finally found it. Not like it was far, just pressed against a wall in the same area I was at. Didn't have time to play as wife got in. I met her, showed her the room and then she went to the pool while I went back down. 4k marker at craps cause that's where I was doing damage, but this time it lasted all of 2 rolls. At this point I was down around 22k. I made a little bit back on a BJ shoe and then it was time for dinner.
Aquaknox was legit. I never see anyone talk about it, but the wife and I enjoyed it. We got sat in one of the cut outs that was really nice and private. Service was amazing and the food was great. Started with king crab for an app. I did the surf and turf with the ribeye and the misses did fish soup. Both were great, and I loved this steak more than the Carnevino one. I killed the plate. Bill with tip was a little over $400.
So here is where the fun starts and the apart we have all been waiting for. I'll start by saying my wife doesn't gambol. Like, at all. We were walking once and I asked her red or black, peeled a 100 to put down and she had a heart attack. She doesn't get it :-). If she knew what I played she would feint.
So for this trip we had talked about her wanting to learn PG. We sat down at the empty table, I let them know she never played, and we got moving. Now normally I would play a lot higher, but per my previous paragraph I kept it at 50 and she did 25. That was the safe zone as she didn't seem to mind.
The pit boss Scott was awesome. I mean awesome. He took care of her, sat with her and helped her set hands and teach her how to play. The two dealers were amazing too. Frank was the main and he was patient, and helped her, and the other dealer was Paula was just as awesome. Her and my wife hit it off big time and the way she taught my wife to set hands was the method that stuck for my wife.
I asedk Scott if he would accept a tip, cause they were going above and beyond, but he couldn't. I slide 50 out to Frank, instead. Some people joined, left, others came in, and the we had three. The third was an awesome guy out her for a convention who was leaving the next day named Todd. I'm friendly at the table so appreciate when others are, cause after all we are there to have fun.
It came time for the deck change and as they spread it out I made a comment they were missing the 7d. They weren't, stupid crap like that helps to pass the time. Deck went in, hand came out. I wish I could recall actually squeezing the cards. All I remember was seeing a **** load of aces and the joker. I jumped up happy cause I just hit the 400-1. I honestly wasn't even thinking about the progressive. Frank the Tank.. My man.. My brother... That beautiful Buddha looking man, pointed it out and all helll broke loose. People were coming over to give high fives, look, offer congrats. It was good. My wife was obviously floored. She felt like we just hit the lottery. If she only knew that got us even :-). I also had to tell her this was rare... Like she will most likely never see it again in her life... Especially since she doesn't gambol. I looked it up while waiting, .00000732 I think.
Took forever to pay out, and I had to sign my life away. I asked the head boss if I could have a copy of the surveillance DVD showing my reaction. No go on that. :-( my wife ordered shots and the three of us cheered. I tipped the server 50, cause it pays to spread the love in life. I was happy Todd had the envy for 250 too, as he was great while waiting for them to sort it out.
We played a bit more and called it a night heading up at 4am. I ****ing woke up at 7:30, and damn I'm tired. We decided to relax today so we got a cabana at the V pool, and life is good.
Tonight we see absenthe, and maybe play some at Ceasers. I also have to move to the Encore at some point today... So lots of "to-dos".
Host just let me know my F&B is waived... Boomshakalaka
Onward we go!
