App or website? Depending on how you do the search sometimes it defaults to non-date specific 'as low as' rates. If you're a Caesars Rewards member make sure you're still logged in.

I generally found the website calendar (the matrix) much more accurate. Also, if you book more than 5 days the rates WILL go up - their promo rates is only for 5 consecutive days (have to stay away 72 hours between stays).

madrobin: No offense man your advice would be sound during 'normal' Vegas - off Strip casinos are a good way to avoid Strip price-gouging, but weekday Vegas right not isn't that expensive.

A little late for OP but check out Travelodge, Howard Johnson, Motel 6. Not paying for luxury whatsoever but at least close to Strip. Last two across the street for MGM Grand.
