Pre-Nov trip "contain Leon's excitement by getting to talk about Vegas" post-

This post is purely to whet my own appetite but if anyone else gets enjoyment from it, great. Gonna use the tapatalk app to post pics after this, but I'll reserve the typing for this (picless) post on my laptop.

I arranged this trip basically the week after I got back from the Sept one. I received an offer in the mail for a "Luxury boutique event" at the Wynn which basically is 750$ in shopping credit, comped nights, etc. I don't care about the shopping at all, and the likelihood that I can get anything decent at the Wynn for "only" 750 without shelling out some of my own money is like 0%, but it's an excuse to go to Vegas...

Related note- if anyone has ever received invites or offers in the mail from WynnCore they can confirm- WynnCore knows its stuff when it comes to presentation. The envelopes are invariably glossy, high quality material, oversized, etc etc- they're really done up, make you feel special, and do their job, which is to make you want to come back. This invite was no different and as soon as I saw it my mind started turning the gears. My host was also able to get me what was a separate offer for 400 free credit which is a nice bonus. I figure I'll try and find something nice for my wife and if I end up spending "a little more" to make it happen that's all right.

I knew it would be too soon to go again for my wife, and the kids just went late Sept and I don't want to pull them out of school just bc I want to go. However, I'm blessed with a wife who indulges my degeneracy, so a solo trip is easy. In turn, the responsible part of ME knows that me solo, in Vegas, if runbad comes could result in a 5 figure catastrophe. I refuse to go for less than 3 days, but I also have little to occupy myself besides gambling so if I crash out of the gate it might be a LONG two days or so. Thus, I touch base with a friend and fellow degen who I haven't been to Vegas with in years- can he go? It turns out he can, and we are ON!

Bonus- my nanny quite some time ago made arrangements with a friend to see Cher, who happens to be playing that weekend as well. So, he will (separately) be staying at the Wynn as well which is awesome. LOL you know you're baller when your NANNY can get a comped room from your host (clearly 99% has to do with my parents and not me).

Timeline:
- I get in on a Fri and stay until Mon afternoon
- friend gets in Fri night and leaves late Sun night; short but it was all he could swing; we're sharing a two bedroom comped suite
- nanny gets in Fri afternoon and leaves Sun morning; SUPER short trip for him

Agenda:
- shopping affair- I get to see the items on Fri, and make my selections Sat. Everything is very regimented and I have to show up at my scheduled times. Other than that, nothing on the agenda from this standpoint
- food- gonna try and get together with my nanny and my friend for Sat breakfast or lunch. We actually met my nanny thru this friend and they've remained friends as well so everything is coming together nicely. We won't be able to grab any dinners with the three of us so breakfast or lunch it will have to be. Otherwise, I'll grab all my meals with my friend. We've got a Mizumi and and SW steakhouse reservation, otherwise the agenda is open
- gambling- tons of it. Gonna try not to go bust on Fri before my friend gets in. I plan on getting in a joint session with my nanny Fri before my friend arrives (should slow things down for both of us), and many joint sessions with my friend after he arrives. He's a slot degen and has a good-sized bankroll, but this will still help both of us reduce exposure and hopefully give him a good intro to video poker. In our gambling history, I have introduced him to and taught him to play, in order- poker, craps, blackjack, so I suspect I'll have little trouble getting him on the VP train

We also plan on playing a few dice sessions for old times' sake which should be fun (HOPEFULLY BE FUN, god I'm so overdue for a good dice run).

I'd also like to try a "live" VP session or two; right now, I see myself simply posting pics as they come to try and tell the story of the session. Hopefully that'll work out as well. Super excited- man I hope I run good! Next post will have a few pics from the local casino which occurred since I got back home in Sept.

Posted this earlier, but the story is semi-cool. I went last week hoping to win, but at a minimum not lose too much and save as much as possible for Vegas. Of course the machine had other plans and I ended up tilting off 3k instead of 1.5k. Near the end of the three K, I FINALLY get dealt 4 2s and get this as a result for the save.

I hit another 4 2s w/kicker shortly after and effectively was now up 500$. Decided to just go for it or go home even and stepped up to 30 lines. FIRST push out of the gate, I make-

Now I'm doing well. Keep playing and just 10 min later get dealt quad kings again for 1.8k. 3 dealt quads in 10 min- the aces are coming, I can feel it!

I proceed to play for another 2 hrs- make 4 aces w/kicker several times, and put the money back in almost as fast (goes fast at 30 lines). When I'm "only" 2k up I come to my senses and keave. The dealt quad aces never do show up- ONE DAY, soon... at least my title "king of dealt non premium quads" is still alive...

Calling a low 4 figure number a jackpot seems a little bit off, lol

Agreed, even more so when it's the bare minimum 1200.

Wynn has a policy that lets you record video as long as you don't record faces of other guests. You can stream or video your sessions. I'd watch for sure.

I'll look into it if I have time. I'd probably be recording from my phone so I'm not sure how those logistics would work, but I'll definitely at a minimum do pics.

Pictures are awesome! Video ruins TRs like this imo. Keep on doing what you're doing.

Youtube app lets you stream super easily. That or periscope. Can record from shirt pocket or a cheap tripod on the cabinet.

Just video on the VP screen while he plays is all that's necessary. Dont even need to introduce the video.



As someone who lives in a state without real VP and plays 2,000+ hands per day on of single line Game King on my phone in frequent short sessions, yeah id watch the dude gamble.

Would definitely be willing to take the gamble on watching a vid session uploaded somewhere. Not sure a lot of people could watch live but I think it could be fascinating.

Strap a Go Pro to yer head. Then you can keep both hands free for quick button-pushing.

Maybe you can get one from your "free" shopping. They go for 200-300 bucks, so maybe 750 at Wynn.

Or a little tripod for like $10.

I haven´t read the whole thread or your last one, but can you state in short form how you can play +EV video poker? Does it have to do with promotions and comps? Or is it really beatable?

I don't think I've ever claimed to be +ev.

In terms of EV = Entertainment Value Leon's play is starkly positive.

Oh okay, thought you are a professional. I read you went with bankroll of 30k. So it is basically just an entertainment blog?

There's a big slot player on youtube with tons of streamed videos (The Big Jackpot) - casinos let him do whatever he wants. They even let him film live roulette. Now much of this is not in Vegas, but I thin Wynn would be amenable given your (and your dad's) status.

Bankroll = whatever was left from poker + infusions from life roll + infusions from parents - gambling - life expenses. It's very muddy at this point but basically I'm just a degen riding this out as long as I can.

This is just an ongoing TR for fun. "Are you not entertained?!"

No, I am, keep it coming. Just read that you can beat Video Poker at certain games with 0.75% ROI, but those casinos wont let you play high enough to make a certain living. They calculated you will make like ~$8 an hour +comps. Sounds like fun

Be careful, Wynn's marketing department gave this slot YouTuber permission to film, then security still harassed him and kicked him out.

Interesting. I'm actually surprised the marketing dept gave him permission, bc it seems a little out of the "high end luxury" ambience that WynnCore tries to create.

Having thought about it, this time around at least I'm gonna stick to live pic updates. It seems a little gauche to set up a tripod and live stream while I'm playing- not my style. Plus I can see my phone running out of batteries pretty quickly. Hopefully I'll have lots of good pics and it'll be interesting anyways.
