34 suited definitely not since it barely comes up, but there are a few other adjustments that are worth more. See below. And holy ****, what a day!

Unfortunately i don't have the software for that one. 9/6 TDB is a bit of a hybrid of 9/6 DDB and 9/7 TDB.

I probably adjust from the 9/7 TDB strategy, fwiw.

These are some key adjustments looking between the two strategies.

No 34 suited
Two high cards to a Royal usually beats 3 to a flush
High pair better than 4 to flush
3 to Royal better than 4 to flush except AKT, AQT, AJT suited

This would get you pretty close.

Think I may have shared this story. I bought shopify at 66. Only stock I've ever hand picked, I know I don't know more than anyone else. But somehow or another I heard about them and just "knew". Bought 100 shares, figured they could bust and it's all good. But I really wanted to buy 1000-2000. I would have had to liquidate some other assets etc to come up with the cash, couldn't justify the gamble if things went south but still "knew" I was making a mistake not buying more.

Fast forward to now, shopify has been over or near 1000 for a long time. If I just trusted myself I'd be a millionaire on that pick alone. As it is I'm still doing great but I will always think I missed my one time with that stock. So yeah, no current picks.

No kidding. Part of the reason I threw him a bone- I'm running like god and he can't catch a break. So sick.

Got another big one to add- two offsuit high cards beats three suited with one high card in 9/6 TDB. 9/7, one high and three sooted definitely wins.

Yea, so those changes all look like they're what you should do in 9/6 DDB normally anyway - so i think if you use the DDB strategy and hold trips+kicker you should be pretty ok... which makes sense now that I think about it, since 9/6 DDB and 9/6 TDB are identical except for the lesser payouts on trips and the bigger premium quads payouts.

My missed opportunity was ignoring the smartest guy I know in 2012 when he pretty much begged me to load up on bitcoin. Unlike you, I didn't invest a single penny. Ugh. Just looked, btc was less the $20 each then.

Yeah, but in DDB you do things like hold 55-TT over an open-ended straight draw, but in TDB, you would go for the straight. In 9/6, 9/5, or 8/5 DDB, you'd hold 2s-4s full, but not in 9/7, 9/6, or 9/5 TDB.

I feel like there are less adjustments from the 9/7 TDB strategy overall.

But yeah holding the kicker is the biggest strategy change by far between the two games. If a person refuses to hold the kicker, they are seriously better off playing 9/6 DDB vs. 9/7 TDB.

I swore when I saw this I was going to wait to read it until closer to the holidays; but like a kid in the candy store, I couldn't avoid temptation. And all I can say is wow - just wow.

Can someone crunch all the totals from the seven 2020 trips and calculate just how far over EV Leon ran? I know he's in rarified air; but is the probability of him making as much money as he did, plus having winning sessions seven out of seven times, literally a one in a million shot? If not, how close? I'm genuinely curious.

Without a doubt, this thread is the most impressive story that I've ever read in my 37 years on this planet.

Day 3 part 2

OK, I'm up about 80k for the trip. Still have a shot at the slot tourney. One dealt 4AWAK away from running the Holy Grail table of dealt hands. If there was ever a time for 5$ credits, it's now. And if I get dealt 4awak... 200k!!!



Need these to stay alive, but I'd better be careful. Given I can donk off 2000-3000 credits at the 1$ level in no time flat, at this level I could give back 10-15k!



That is what I'm talking about!

That was fun, but ultimately too stressful. 5$ credits is just too big... I'm quite aware that if I hit a cold patch 25-30k evaporates in a flash. Forget that. I ended up "only" taking 500 credits from that venture, so 2500$ to the good in my 5$ adventure. I step down to 1$ credits again, give a bit back then realize I need to grab my tourney credentials from the room- it's time to run like god in the rebuy round!

I meet up with my mom and nanny in the tourney room. I go first, and post a crappy score. Damn. It's disappointing to find out in 5 min that not only am I not winning anything in the rebuy, I'm likely not getting anything great from the tourney either. Nanny goes for mom and does better than me, but still not enough. And like that, our tourney is over. I'm pretty sure my mom will get the base prize (1k free credit), but I'm hopeful I can crack top 20, so 2.5k FC?

Now we've got no agenda until dinner at Mizumi teppanyaki. Back to the VP machines!

I decide to give craps another try... see if I can grab another flag. Of course, I come in for 5k so it shouldn't be that hard; even a 1$ winner will work

I'm playing with another person and it's almost the opposite of my last session- I roll well and he rolls poorly. Of course, I didn't roll nearly as well as the other guy did in the previous session, and things turned earlier. So I got up a decent amount initially, then just steadily gave money back... I'm calling this. Gonna lock up yet another small win, I've tipped the dealers a decent amount, I'm good.



In for 5, out for 5.6k.

I head back to VP, and it's official- BOTH mom and I only got the base prize. Boo. OK, time to use that up.

It's time to get changed for dinner. Phew. I played a TON and held my own. Not exactly sure how things turned out in the afternoon but pretty sure I was up a bit.

Nothing new to see here, but I took some good pics. We all get teppanyaki, but they've added some new set appetizers to the menu.





Hamachi, 7/10. Pretty interesting combo of flavors.



Snow crab egg roll, 6/10. Decent but not great.



Pork belly with figs, carrots. 4/10. Pork belly was good, but the other flavors were meh.













Between all of us we got snow beef, Kobe, scallops, sea bass and tons of shrimp. Everything at least 8/10. So full afterwards.

Dessert is mandatory, so... why not?





Dessert also 8/10, all one bite I ate. Too full.
