I was a mechanic for years before a career change. The kids we fired went and worked at Walmart. Your asking for a oil out. It will suck but find a local shop that is trustworthy. They do exist and the reviews are out there

Have never changed my own oil, and don't plan to learn. Can't wait to pay $350 to have the oil changed in the car I just bought. At least it only has to be done every 15k miles.

Wow, you're magnanimous PAYING (not tipping) them 20 bucks for an hour of work.

Walmart employs the nut low as some of their mechanics. I mean severely stupid humans. They also employ some pretty decent mechanics, but you can't depend on getting a good one.

That'd be nice. A truck that needs a $350 oil change wouldn't fit in my garage though.



Alas, it's just a euro sports car and that # is dealership prices. I plan to take it to an Indy shop though where I expect it will be cheaper.

Wouldn't trust a dealership to do anything to my car after my and my friends' experiences. I got a recall notice in the mail and I'm hesitant to go in for it because I don't trust the dealers. They might mess up something else while working on the "free" recall issue.

My dad was a car dealer. He was an extremely honest and trustworthy person. Anyways, I'm not sure why you would "trust" anyone that you don't know. A guy at one of those quick oil change places tampered with my SUV in an apparent attempt to kill me because he was in a bad mood the day I tried getting my vehicle inspected.

These smaller places seem to rely more on word of mouth and Yelp while the dealerships seem to get a steady flow of business from the name brand they carry and the sales side of the business. That combined with personal experiences, had led me to distrust them MORE than the small independent places if picking both at random. I do my research either way.

Just wanted to pop in and say I played the $100 HORSE tourney tonight at the Orleans. Had both gobbo and Ylon Schwartz at my starting table.

Finished nowhere near the money but had a good time nonetheless.

They were driving me ****ing crazy. I can't stand people announcing part of their hand and basically slowrolling the part you care about. It persisted after you busted.

Ballys has a new high hand jackpot. I don't normally play in jackpot joints, but I was staying at Ballys and the closest place I can stomach was Caesars. I was too tired/lazy to schlep all the way over there.

About the jackpot, you get fitty bucks for making quads. With a pair of fives in my hand, two fives on the flop. Had that happened the night before when I was at Red Rock, multiple thousands would have come my way.

Anyway, Ballys has put a new twist on high hand jackpots. For quads, they bring out 13 tiles, one for each possible value. They said I had to find the tile that matched my quads, e.g. a five. I tried making a stupid joke about how I could find it easily by just flipping all the tiles over, but no one got it. So I picked a tile out of the 13, it was the five, for which I got paid $500 instead of just the fitty. EZ game.
